Stopping By

So, just trying to capture photos of the birds in my yard this morning.  I set up in three areas, one was successful:

ISO 200 135mm f/7.1 1/10

Two were not:

hello?

I am using a tripod.  We will see if the shutter speed is fast enough when enough birds wander through.

  1. Hi, I think I missed some part. You said, 3 setups were there and 1 was successful.. I am guessing that this means they were autocaptures by detecting motion or what? I am curious to know how you do the motion detection, I need it too!

    • Unfortunately, I don’t have a great answer in terms of motion detection. I set my tripod up in three different places where I usually see birds. That morning, there were no birds in two of the places I set up, so only one “success”. I am using a tripod, and camera that has a remote shutter attached. I leave the camera out, but where I can still see it, so I just guess when something has wandered into the frame. Motion detection capability would be awesome, but not a toy that I have. So I have more of a set the tripod up and they will come approach.
