A Flower I Borrowed

I guess it would be more correct to say I borrowed this flower image taken by Mike Moats.

I enjoy macro photography, so I follow his blog.  Yesterday he put this photo on his blog and 10 random photographers are processing it in our different ways.  Here is the original blog: http://tinylanscapes.wordpress.com/2012/06/05/lets-have-some-processing-fun/

On Monday, he will post the results of the different editing jobs.  Here are mine:

I use GIMP to process my images.  It is a free open source editing program.  I wouldn’t say that I am too technically savvy, so I have used some tutorials I found on youtube to try and learn how to use it.  In the first version I created, I just changed the color balance and the brightness and contrast of the image.  In the second, I tried to create a photo that looked more like a sketch.  What do you think of the different versions?

Cheers!
