The theme this week from WordPress is urban. That is kind of a tough one for me, because I don’t tend to do much of this kind of photography. This weekend, however, I was given a great opportunity to take some urban photography in my current hometown of St. Louis. Festival of Nations is on this weekend, and it is a lot of fun.

The festival runs Saturday and Sunday. Make sure to come hungry because the food booths are varied and wonderful.

So, as we are walking away from the “Highland Games” section we overhear this woman giving directions and they start with, “walk past those guys with skirts” ARG, even I know it’s a kilt 🙂

I understand your problem with getting photos of urban life. I have a similar problem, that is we live in our motor home and travel back an d forth across the USA. We may be in a town or area for one day or a few weeks. When we stop for a few days we check out the local entertainment and that is were I shoot photos. It maybe Sedona, AZ or Grand Canyon or Lincoln City, OR Bush Gardens Tampa. We have been doing this for 15 years. So you see what is urban life for one person can be totally different for someone else. Our Urban Life is USA and everything in it!
