This week at Where’s my backpack? the theme is shadows. I thought I would do a little bit different of a take on shadows. In this case I am talking about shadows of the past. I enjoy taking pictures of graveyards. These are a few I took in Halifax, Nova Scotia:

ISO 250 135mm -0.67ev f/5.6 1/30
ISO 250 70mm -0.67ev f/5 1/40
I enjoy walking around, looking at the markers, and appreciating the quiet that cemeteries usually afford.

I also like walking on cemetery grounds. Outside Paris there is one of the most beautiful ones, Père Lachaise. Fine photography!

Cemeteries are my favorite places to photograph! I love your take on the theme. The one on the left looks like it’s smiling at the viewer. 🙂

I like roaming around old cemeteries, too, and I don’t think I’ve seen anything like the skull with crown, or the crossed bones & skull flanking the wings. Good idea for a different take on shadows.
