Gaudy? hmm… for a travel theme? I have to admit that the first place that came to mind when I thought about this challenge was Las Vegas. So, I decided to post this photo:
I really liked this snail. It doesn’t seem gaudy at all in the garden at the Bellagio. Of course, it is among other floral displays like it and huge glass flowers.
I’m just thinking it would look pretty gaudy in my front yard.
Cheers!
This looks great! It’s difficult to tell how big it is, though. it looks quite big…

Yes, it was nice and also big. I think maybe 4 feet long and 2 feet high, a bit big for my front garden.

That snail is not going in the overhead bin I tell you 🙂

Can gaudy ever be seen as a positive word? Cheerful seems like the same thing but for people that like brights.

Good question, but the way my youngest chooses to dress herself you might think that it is a lifestyle choice 🙂 Cheerful to me suggests the inclusion of tasteful, but perhaps you are right, maybe gaudy shouldn’t be seen as positive.

It is funny how the Bellagio can make everything look beautiful. But yes in a yard.., gaudy!!

I like it too! it would work in a shade garden that had lots of ferns and other greenery – but without other flowers to clash with… 🙂 Nice photo!
