A week of crazy unsettled weather, beautiful but scary at times. Most of the photos I took this week were long exposure shots as I wrote about in my last post. The dramatic weather making for some interesting shots. I was happy to be able to get out and take photos, but I did time my trips based on when it seemed safest:
Welcome to this week’s instalment of my daily photographic record. Posts in this series will be photos from the week before, roughly Friday through Friday. This, once a week, wrap-up post will publish on Sunday. The photos for this post will be in a gallery format, they will have all been taken on my phone. The captions on the photos will be an indication of the photo-editing software used to edit them, or simply “as-shot” for those that are unedited.
Writing a weekly wrap up with a gallery is a way for me to gather my thoughts on what has caught my attention in the previous week. It will be a way of filtering through what I am thinking about photographically. I’ll also be able to come back to these posts and look at what trends emerge over time.
As with all my posts, your comments are welcome. I appreciate your interaction with my work here on this blog. It is my intention to publish in this series on Sunday. Every Sunday that is possible. Looking at my year, I already know there are some weeks where I will not be close enough to my technology to make a post possible. In an effort to keep this project pleasant for myself, I won’t be attempting catch-up posts.
Hope to see you in the comments below and in this space next week!
Cheers!
It’s so beautiful, love it!

Yes, it’s been quite a week, hasn’t it. But you certainly managed to get some excellent images. My favourites may be the long exposures.

tell me about unsettled weather. Just back from the north of Germany where storm Sabine did her job last week and got me stuck on vacation as I could not leave the island. I have taken a few photos which I am hope I have the time to review shortly. I see you are using Hipstamatic. I have done a 365 project with Hipstamatic shots only a few years ago. While I loved the project, I am not sure if I would commit to another full year again.

Yes, I have considered a 365 project with Hipstamatic, I’m just not sure that I would be up for the commitment, so it was interesting that you should mention that.

You need to think about making a full year’s commitment. But it is fun’s and I got to know a lot of new people along the way!

Yeah, it’s an idea I’m always toying with, glad it was a good experience for you.

I like the first phoptography, published in isolation from the others and which you included in the slideshow. I like the idea of this happily off-center path of the image, the trace of an airplane in the sky and the few birds we see
