While this is not the best picture I have ever taken, I just love the teeth on her:) Well, from a distance anyway…
Cheers!

Is really hard to capture. Well for me anyway. It was a bit shady, so I was having a tough time freezing the motion. This still kangaroo photo was the best of the bunch.
Cheers!
I mean, where else would you expect a chick to lay an egg? I used the 50mm lens I am borrowing for these photos. Because the lighting is pretty dark, the lower f-stop is helpful. My 28-135mm lens only goes to f/5.6 and these three shots were all in the f/2 range.

Slices of bread seemed to be a popular treat for these red kangaroos. I wasn’t the one feeding them, I’ll leave that to the professionals, but it did bring them closer to my camera.
The lighting was difficult in this shot, but I ended up going with the sunny setting on my white balance to get what I thought was the closest representation of the right color.

The WordPress weekly photo challenge theme is close. I got this photo this morning, close to the glass of the enclosure. I was told the orangutan was putting the sheet over her head to block the sun.
Cheers!
Can you just imagine that I was sitting on the other side of the enclosure thinking, please look this way 🙂
A bit of glare off the window.
Also, some glare. Will be back to try again!
Cheers!
