Daily Record Weekly Photo Wrap-Up: Week 65

Most of the photos I shot this week had a faded filter of some sort added to them, giving them the feel of memory rather than real life:

Welcome to this week’s installment of my daily photographic record. Posts in this series will be photos from the week before, roughly Friday through Friday. This, once a week, wrap-up post will publish on Sunday. The photos for this post will be in a gallery format, they will have all been taken on my phone. The captions on the photos will be an indication of the photo-editing software used to edit them, or simply “as-shot” for those that are unedited.

Writing a weekly wrap up with a gallery is a way for me to gather my thoughts on what has caught my attention in the previous week. It will be a way of filtering through what I am thinking about photographically. I’ll also be able to come back to these posts and look at what trends emerge over time.

As with all my posts, your comments are welcome. I appreciate your interaction with my work here on this blog. It is my intention to publish in this series on Sunday. Every Sunday that is possible. Looking at my year, I already know there are some weeks where I will not be close enough to my technology to make a post possible. In an effort to keep this project pleasant for myself, I won’t be attempting catch-up posts.

Hope to see you in the comments below and in this space next week!

Cheers!

Daily Record Photo Weekly Wrap-Up: Week 56

Taking my iPhone along with me on my daily walk in part to help me keep a sense of normalcy in a time that is not. My gallery this week is a reflection of this:

Daily Record Weekly Photo Wrap-Up: Week 54

Out and about and plenty of photos this week. When I look at the gallery, I think about texture, which is interesting because that hadn’t occured to me until I made the gallery:

Daily Record Weekly Photo Wrap-Up: Week 39

This week was really an interesting visual week for me. The resulting gallery below will attest to that. It would be a bit hard to pick a theme based just on the photos themselves. The thing they have in common is the photographer:

Daily Record Weekly Photo Wrap-Up: Week 31

Fall (Autumn if you insist) is all around. That’s pretty much the conclusion you can draw from this week’s wrap-up. I love the contrasts that this season provides.

Daily Record Weekly Photo Wrap-Up: Week 28

This week I’m happy to say I actually took a photo every day. It’s something that I try to do but am not always successful. It’s still a small gallery because ultimately, just because I take a lot of photos doesn’t mean I take a lot of good photos. But I do try and I would argue that practice is an important part of the equation:

Daily Record Weekly Photo Wrap-Up: Week 26

It’s been a few weeks since I was able to focus on this particular photography project. My challenge for the past week was to get into the habit of just taking photos, using my phone as a sketch pad for ideas or things I just happened to see. It was a transition from the previous few weeks where I had been using the phone more to take photos of places I was visiting, creating a GPS version of photos I was taking with my larger camera as a reference should I ever need it. A bit of a leap, but worth the effort I think. My gallery for this week:
