It is getting cooler and the leaves are turning. It was raining and I got this shot in front of my house:
I love the color of fall!
Cheers!

Or in this case, both:
While I was working on a macro assignment I got hungry. At least I got the photo first, an empty plate probably wouldn’t have been as interesting of a photo.
Cheers!
This week in my digital photography class we are covering macro photography. I don’t have a macro lens, but it is fun to see how close I can get:
Look what is lurking out front, a meerkat! I used a tripod to get this photo.
Cheers!
I was working on a macro photo assignment that is due tomorrow and that is how I got this shot:
Honestly, I was going for a no motion shot, but got this nice bit of blur instead. I really like the combination of the blur and the color of this shot. This bird, named Nemo, is gorgeous in person also!
Cheers!
One of anything is what solitary meant to me as I was thinking about the WordPress photo challenge for this week. I was out on walk with my larger camera and tripod, but decided to use my point and shoot for this image. My camera bag is acting as a sun shade since it was the middle of the day.
Cheers!
Because we all need one? Anyway, I have been working on the images below for a macro photography contest that I have entered them into.
There are no restrictions in this contest in terms of editing, so all these photos have been edited. My editing skills are pretty basic at this point, so I mostly just crop and then mess with the color a bit.
Cheers!
Here I am taking my new point and shoot for a spin in the “macro” setting:
Wild blackberries, yum!
But I digress. This was the best shot of the blackberries I came away with. I need to consult with the manual of the camera, because I got A LOT of blurry photos in this series. Here comes the mini-rant. The manual is a download on my computer. There is not an actually paper version. So, can’t take it out into the field with me to consult on the fly! But wait! there’s more! The bigger gripe is this. I do a lot of work on the computer, so I do not like to read things like camera manuals and other things that I am reading for fun on the computer. I need a break from technology! I would like a paper copy of my camera manual! I am considering sending the file to a copy place, but then I would feel bad for “wasting” paper.
Wow, do I need to get a grip!
Cheers!
This photo is what I am busy working on today:
It is a macro contest. It has to be a nature image, but no flowers or critters. Any post-editing is fine. I can enter three images, the other two I haven’t taken yet 🙂
Thoughts?
Cheers!
